Violin is a beautiful string instrument to learn! Students will learn how to read in the bass clef, bow properly, and learn the techniques in order to make beautiful music with the Violin. Students are required to pick up a string or woodwind instrument at 4th grade.
Our violin instructors work with each student and parent on a personal level to craft a lesson plan that fits the student’s individual needs. Our curriculum includes the Suzuki method, in addition to the Essential Elements that the local schools use. Students will have specific goals and expectations. Teachers will work to make sure that the student builds a strong foundation in their knowledge of the instrument.
Violin students spend time each week doing technical exercises to strengthen their ability to play the instrument correctly and well. All cello students set goals with their teacher to make sure progress is moving at a healthy pace. Ensemble opportunities are also available.
Absolutely! Every October, December and June, our students have the opportunity to perform in world class recital halls. Admission is free, so you can invite all of your family and friends.
Our violin lesson instructors have received their musical education from prestigious universities and institutions such as New York University, Berklee College of Music, Bob Cole Conservatory, USC, and Musicians Institute, to name a few. Many have toured the US and Europe, bringing over 25 years of professional performance and teaching experience to your lessons.
